PROGRAM SUMMARY This course will review the material selection process, substrate preparation, composite patching, finishing/curing protocols and color matching of repair materials involved in stone repair. LEARNING OBJECTIVES • Understand the process of evaluating and determining the material selection process for the preservation of concrete and masonry facades. • This course will provide architects, engineers, designers and specifiers with the necessary tools to make an informed selection and specification of the demonstrated materials for the repair of masonry. • Proper preparation of the substrate, bonding procedures, finishing for vertical repair, color matching and crack repair will be demonstrated to promote structural integrity. • Detail to the specifier what proper substrate preparation is required for long lasting, safe and compatible repairs.
